Jakob Siegl bought the property (location in Türkheim, commune in Germany, Bavaria), which, in addition to the old wood chipping workshop, also had a hydroelectric power plant) and laid the foundation for today’s Salamander company.

1936
After many years of development, Salamander was first launched into production with its specially made leather fiber material, which was used in boots and insoles.

1960
The company began its activity in the field of injection molding technology – the production of heels for women’s shoes.

1973
The foundation is laid for modern plastic extrusion for window and door profiles in the Salamander Window and Door Systems division. Manufacturing plants are located only in Germany – Türkheim and Papenburg.

Manufacture of adhesives, sealing materials and dyes.

1995
In Wloclawek, Poland, another plant for the production of window and door profiles was launched.

2001
Salamander Industrie-Produkte GmbH acquired Brügmann Fenster-Systeme GmbH, including the Brügmann branch in Poland and the headquarters in Papenburg.
Brügmann has been specializing in the production of PVC profiles since 1958.
Salamander retained the Brügmann trademark by uniting two high-quality PVC profile manufacturers under its brand. -
2004
Dortmund/MBO acquires Salamander Industrie-Produkte GmbH.
